I bought the bullet that ICE used to kill or injure aliens and citizens alike, seemingly indiscreetly, illegally, and with impunity. I bought the gun that fired the bullet. I bought the body armor the agent used to protect his body without a name tag or badge. I bought the mask he uses to hide his identity. I bought the body camera he refuses to wear or to activate and from which ICE refuses to share footage that does not advance its image. I bought the unmarked SUV he used to drive the target’s vehicle off the road. I pay the bills at the detention center that inhumanely houses the immigrants without due process or legal warrants, including infants, toddlers, and adolescents. I pay the salaries of Mullin, Homan, and Miller, and I elected Trump, the men who set the policies that create – and that they shroud in terms like nationalism, patriotism, Christianity, national security – this chaos, violence, hate, and death.

I am responsible.
