Do Republicans – who now claim they are God’s chosen Christian soldiers – even read the Bible? I compare Matthew 25: 31-46 to GOP policy against immigrants, LGBTQA+, people of color, impoverished people, et al. The Sheep and the Goats analogy is the only time Jesus tells his disciples what is required to enter the kingdom of God (and yes, I acknowledge many theologians and scholars debate that confession also is a gateway in) — does GOP policy support giving food to the hungry, drink to the thirsty, being take in to the stranger, clothes to those without, healthcare to the sick, or visitation to the imprisoned (okay, you got me there; MTG and her MAGA cultists did visit the insurrectionist, even recorded a song with them to raise money)?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

31 \u201cWhen the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
